August 6, Sunday 3pm An Afternoon of beautiful music for flute and harp. Let the melodies of playing works by CPE Bach, Faure, Bizet, Massenet, Mascagni, LaMontaine, Vaughn Williams, and Persichetti wash over you.
Judy Saiki is a professional harpist who regularly plays with the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops Orchestra. Upon graduating from New England Conservatory, she won top honors and performed the Mozart Flute and Harp Concerto with the Boston Pops. Judy’s opera experience includes the Spoleto Festival in Italy and Lake George Summer Opera. She has toured the US with the Aurora Trio, represented by Columbia Artists.
She is honored to have played with the Boston Symphony under Music Directors, Seiji Ozawa, James Levine, and Andris Nelsons with concerts in Boston, Tanglewood and Carnegie Hall. International tours include performances at the major concert halls of Tokyo, London Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, and Lucerne. Concerts and tours with the Boston Pops have been with John Williams and Keith Lockhart. She has worked with Charles Dutoit, Bernard Haitink and Simon Rattle.
Judy has appeared with renowned singers of various genres, including Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, James Taylor, and Idina Menzel.
Krysia Tripp has concertized in the U.S. and Europe and has had the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of artists, including Luciano Pavarotti, Peter, Paul & Mary, the Brubeck Brothers, and Andrea Bocelli. Ms. Tripp currently performs with the Southwest
Florida Symphony Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Portland Symphony, Opera Maine, and the Hartford Symphony.
In addition, she has participated in the Spoleto Festival (USA and Italy), The Aspen Music Festival, Norfolk Chamber Music
Festival, Sarasota Music Festival, Bear Valley Music Festival (CA), Monadnock Music, The New Hampshire Music Festival, and the Bowdoin International Music Festival. She has spent the past six summers as an Artist Faculty member of the Interharmony International Music Festival in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany and Acqui-Termi, Italy. Recent concert series include chamber music at the Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Yale Center for British Art.
Krysia is currently a member of the Artist Faculty at USM, Bates, and Bowdoin Colleges, and the Portland Conservatory of Music.
