LYNNE MCGHEE’S ONE-WOMAN SHOW – Back to the Drawing Board
September 14, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$0.01 – $35.00
Back to the Drawing Board
Meet Edna, an eccentric artist and performer who lives life passionately and unconventionally. Using comedy, music and improv, this interactive* one-woman show is sure to keep you laughing and thinking long after you’ve left the theater. Back to the Drawing Board is a PREMIERES at the DAC and is performed and written by Lynne McGhee, a proud member of Actors Equity Association, SAG-AFTRA, the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs and BACA (Boston Association of Cabaret.) She holds a BA in Theater and has certifications in personal development coaching from the Coaches Training Institute and a certificate in expressive arts from New York Expressive Arts.
Lynne has performed throughout New York and New England with Maine State Music Theater, Portland Stage Company, Good Theater, The Weathervane Theater, Actor’s Theater of Maine and various regional theaters. Lynne enjoys voice over work and was
on air radio talent for WPOR’s morning drive shows, The Baxter and Lynne Show and The WPOR Morning Crew. McGhee also produced and performed cabaret shows at The Eastland Park Hotel as The Broadway Cabaret. Other cabaret shows have included work at Danny’s Skylight Room and Don’t Tell Mama’s in NYC. She has acted in film and television both locally and nationally appearing in 30 Rock, I Think I Love My Wife, Baby Mama, True North, The Fay-Lindsay Jones Story and more. Two of her favorite performing experiences include singing with Debbie Gravitt with The Portland Symphony and a show at New York’s famed Rainbow Room.
What Lynne loves most about performing is the opportunity to create something with an audience, rather than for an audience. Her vision is to use interactive theater and the arts to help people break through ways of thinking that keep them from attaining their goals. Back to the Drawing Board, represents the first in a series of live shows aimed at focusing on themes that limit personal empowerment. Her new podcast, Unstuck, is currently in development as well as an accompanying live stage show. Lynne also continues to act for film, on stage and behind the mic doing voice over work. She has private coaching clients and enjoys public speaking engagements. For more information and booking details visit LynneMcGheeTalent.com.
Lynne lives in Harpswell with her husband Mark and three babies (dogs) Cooper, Russell-Walker and Callie.
* “Interactive theatre is a presentational or theatrical form of work that breaks the “fourth wall” that traditionally separates the performer from the audience both physically and verbally. In interactive theatre, the performance engages audience members directly, making them active participants in the piece.” Wikipedia
