August 20-24 9 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. ages 8-12 $140 (maximum 10 students)
In this introductory camp, students will learn fundamental skills including juggling, tumbling, balancing, mime, physical comedy and more. Expect lots of fun, creative play and physical activity! Along with the fundamentals, campers will learn how to create an act and have the chance to perform on the last day of camp. Campers should be prepared for vigorous movement training. Gym clothes or dance wear along with athletic shoes recommended. Pack a lunch and drink for this camp. Circus camp performance Friday, August 24 at 1:00 p.m. (open to the public).
Michael Trautman is the Artistic Director of Maine Circus Academy and the Director of their Youth Performance Troupe. He has over forty years of experience as a professional clown, mime, and performer.
