CLAY CAMP with KATHY BANKS session I
SESSION I – July 9, 10, 11 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. ages 5-7 $75 (maximum 10 students)
SESSION II – July 16, 17, 18 10:30 a.m. – Noon ages 8 & up $75 (maximum 10 students)
The possibilities are endless when hand building with clay! Students will pinch, coil, carve, roll and sculpt a variety of functional and decorative projects. We will explore texture, design and surface decoration using found objects and glazes. Material costs of clay, glazes and kiln-firing are included. Finished pieces will be displayed at a special Art Gallery opening on July 21 from Noon to 2 p.m.
Kathy Banks is passionate about pottery. Her artwork is inspired by her gardens and the natural world. She taught elementary art for 16 years and prior to that, science and environmental education.
