With Flying Colors by artist Kristen Pobatschnig from May 28 through July 30-Gallery open Saturdays 12-4pm (private showings can be scheduled)
For a limited time, painted giclée canvas prints of Kristen Pobatschnig’s paintings will be offered through the Denmark Arts Center. These canvas prints are embellished by hand to give additional texture, that mimics an original painting. Utilizing overlays of gel and pigments on top of the giclée canvas print, this creates a one-of-a-kind print, also known as a printed original.
26”x26” Hand-Embellished Giclée Canvas Prints are available for $545 plus shipping. They can either be shipped or picked up at the Denmark Arts Center. Please allow a 2-3 weeks for processing. Additional sizes are available upon request. To see more beautiful work by Kristen go to www.phoenixk.art

My name is Melanie Angevine, I currently live in Norway, ME. I’ve been taking pictures for most of my life. I became very inspired watching my girls play sports, getting those awesome shots of goals made and dirt flying. I also enjoy just stopping to see whats going on around me, thats where I fell in love with macro. Life is interesting close up, “bugs” are so complex, their eyes, colors, wings, I love to sit and watch! I also enjoy flowers, landscapes, reflections, everything really. WORK BY SUSAN SIDWELL
After years of farming, family, and art when I found time, I am lucky enough now to have time and inspiration to create my art. My art has always been inspired by my relationship with nature, botanicals, bugs, fish, and animals. Papercutting has been the springboard to my printmaking, I live for the relationship of positive and negative space, the black and white of designs. Lucky for me I bought my enormously heavy press before children, and they still seem to love me after moving it to my new home in Union ME. My hand crank full size etching press is the key to me lifting multiple prints from my papercuts . Collagraphs and prints from pressed botanicals and other found and cherished artifacts are also part of my artwork.
A bug lover and butterfly collector from my childhood on has continued to fascinate me with our relationships to them. Feel strongly about children maintaining a healthy relationship to the insect world around them. Even in this time of staying at home, there is never a dull moment in your back yard in the world of bugs, allowing us to study and observe their incredible relationships to us close up and personal.
